The La Crosse Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Inc. (HMAA) is a non-profit organization, established in 1982, to assist South East Asian community members to adapt to life in the United States.

The HMAA provides assistance to refugees, refugee sponsoring agencies, individual sponsors, local and state governments, schools, human services providers, and other segments of society. This assistance is designed to promote a smooth cultural transitions and to facilitate greater understanding between refugees and their American friends.
